Owners most often describe day-to-day care (vaccinations and annual check-ups) alongside support for difficult end-of-life decisions; multiple recent reviews mention euthanasia handled with sensitivity and kindness. Practical points raised in reviews include same-day appointments being arranged when pets are unwell, and one owner reporting appointments consistently running late.

We very sadly had to say goodbye to our oldest collie this week and Louise and her team showed such kindness and care. Natterjacks have always been professional, kind and compassionate. We are very fortunate to have them as our vets.

This is a good veterinary surgery, but there are a couple of things that really let the place down... 1. Appointment times - i have NEVER had an ontime appointment, the appointments are ALWAYS AT LEAST 10 minutes late ALWAYS. Even when i thought id play the system and have first appointment of the day - still late! It really isnt good enough, working people have to leave a whole afternoon or morning off because of this lack of customer service. Try be late though... 2. The price of medication - this is a criticism of all vets - you are GREEDY! Why do i have to pay £1.80 for a pill when online it can be purchased for 0.47p? The vets will tell you that they sell meds at recommended retailers price, however, as anyone in retail will tell you, recommended retail price is what the manufacturers would LIKE to achieve for their product, it is set by the manufacturer and has no bearing on actual retail competitive price whatsoever. ETA (jan 2017) After seeing this comment about medications Andy has negotiated discounts similar to web prices on some meds, fair play and shows web competitive pricing can be achieved! ETA (nov 2025) I only ever go to the vets now if absolutely necessary. These veterinary surgeries don't seem to understand there is a cost of living crisis going on, they just keep raising their prices more and more and more, for less and less and less service. Vets have massively gone down in my estimation. We trust them to look after our pets, but they happily take advantage of our love and take MASSIVE advantage of us, their customers. Vets are currently in the same place as insurance companies, shysters fleecing their customers

Natterjacks is a professional and caring company. The receptionists and nurses are happy, helpful and knowledgeable and show real concern when are pets are poorly, getting us an appointment with a Vet as soon as possible, usually the same day. The Vets are all great too - I would not even consider trusting my pets’ health with any other practice.

Been coming to Natterjacks for years and always thought the service was good and vets are experienced and friendly. Yesterday was a standout visit though - brought in my 2 cats for their yearly vaccinations and checkups and was booked in with Prateek who is relatively new to this clinic. He was SO lovely, super friendly, calm and so informative and helpful. I was so impressed by his manner and professionalism as well as his welcoming demeanor and passion for his work. He was also so gentle and lovely when handling the cats. Thank you!

We have been clients of Natterjacks and Vets 2 U for a number of years. The love and care they show our cats and dogs is amazing. Their pricing is very fair, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are all lovely people.

I would absolutely recommend this vet practice to anyone. Our dog had separation anxiety and when he became poorly they were very mindful of this and did everything possible to make the appointments as stress free as possible. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to him a couple of weeks ago but this was done in such a sensitive way. Today we received a condolence card from them which I thought was very thoughtful and it was very much appreciated. Thank you so much

We have always found the vets and nurses very kind and they take the time to explain things. Yesterday was her annual check up and vaccination. She was all good. The vet was excellent with her, although she has never had a bad experience there she really doesn’t like being looked at although never reacts in a viscous way not even a growl. Aways good to have a MOT Photos of Mollie who has recently completed her second charity walk for Breast Cancer now, along with both human and doggy friends this time just over 50 miles over 6 days along the South West Coastal path. She loves the challenges and the herding of the group thankfully the weather was perfect for walking we did worry it might be too hot. Mollie’s fitness training included hydro fitness for times when the weather was too wet or too hot. I can thoroughly recommend South Coast Hydrotherapy , my husband had loads of bottles of water for frequent water stops, the cold jackets and bibs were thankfully not needed. We also have a Natterjacks first aid kit, again wasn’t needed but you never know.

Always gentle and caring. My Daisy actually loves going there, but not keen on being left there! Even so it doesn’t put her off heading there as she gets lots of fuss.
